Step-by-step: how to pack your bulk safely

Gather the right packing materials
For a good bulk shipment you'll need:
  • A sturdy cardboard box (not too large)
  • Plastic bags or cellophane bags (to put stacks in, easy to write on with a black permanent marker)
  • Cardboard dividers (optional, for extra stability)
  • Bubble wrap or filling material (shredded paper or foam)
  • Black permanent marker to label bags
  • PP tape or other strong packing tape

Sort the cards and bundle them

Make stacks of a maximum of 100 cards per category (Rares, Holos, Reverse Holos). For Common and Uncommon this is optional, but it is handy for us.

Good to know: You don't necessarily need to sleeve Holos and Reverse Holos. Simply putting them in plastic bags is fine, as long as they're well protected against shifting.

Put the cards in bags and use a black permanent marker to write on the bag what's inside, for example:

  • 100x R for Rares
  • 100x H for Holos
  • 50x RH for Reverse Holos (if you have fewer than 100)

Have fewer than 100 cards of something? Then write the exact number on the bag.

Fill the shipping box

Start with a layer of Common and Uncommon cards at the bottom for stability. Distribute the weight evenly across the box.

Filling empty spaces is essential! Use the following:

  • Bubble wrap – wrap cards or stacks for extra protection
  • Packing paper, foam or cardboard to prevent the contents from shifting

Close the box temporarily and shake it gently. Can you hear movement? Then add more filling material until everything is held firmly.

Close and secure the shipping box
  • Write your name as entered in the calculator on a piece of paper and add it to the parcel. That way we know who the shipment is from.
  • Tape the box firmly shut, especially on the corners and seams.
  • Use extra tape to prevent the box from opening during transport.

Create a label and ship

Create a shipping label via the website or app of your chosen carrier. We recommend an insured and registered shipment, because the parcel is your responsibility until it has been delivered to us.

When creating the label, enter our email address : info@cards-center.nl. Then we'll receive the Track & Trace code too.

You can also hand in the parcel at a post office or drop-off point; they'll help you with the label there.

💡 Tip: Use plastic bags

Ordinary plastic bags or cellophane bags are ideal for bulk. They're sturdy, close well and are easy to write on with a black permanent marker.

📦 Tip: Choose the right box

A box that's too large means lots of filling material. Choose a box that's just big enough for your bulk.

Shipping options

For bulk shipments with a relatively high weight, such as 10-30 kg, DHL or UPS is often the best option because of their prices and reliability for larger parcels. It's also possible to send multiple parcels with the same carrier, such as with PostNL (recommended).

Extra tips for smooth processing

Use no elastic bands to hold stacks together; they can damage the cards.

Always write your name and email address on a note in the parcel. That way we can link the shipment to you more quickly.

For very large quantities (>10,000 cards) it is best to use several boxes. If in doubt, please contact us.

Keep the proof of postage and track & trace code until we have confirmed processing.
