Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be released in late 2022.

The Pokémon Company has announced Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. The company shows an early look at the games, which will be released for the Nintendo Switch at the end of this year, and refers to the games with the term 'open world'.

The reveal trailer for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet shows landscapes and cities full of Pokémon, but doesn't reveal much about the games. The Pokémon Company invites players in the accompanying text to go on an 'open world adventure'.

At the same time, the company is showing a look at the three new Pokémon that players can choose from the start. These are the cat Sprigatito of the 'grass' type, the crocodile Fuecoco of the fire type and the duck Quaxly of the 'water' type. The games of the new generation of Pokémon games will be released at the end of this year.

It was also announced during the Pokémon Presents presentation that Pokémon Legends: Arceus will be expanded with a free mission.
